In 1989, Wenlong Yang graduated from the Geology Department of Peking University and obtained the Bachelor of Science degree. In 1992, he graduated from the Institute of Geology, China Earthquake Administration, and he obtained the Master of Science degree.
Now as professor and deputy director, he works in Digital Disaster Mitigation and Emergency Management Reasearch Center, Peking University. He is the secretary-general of the International Emergency Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance and Director of Asia Office of The International Emergency Management Society.
He is mainly engaged in earthquake risk evaluation, earthquake engineering, emergency management, industry contingency planning and research and planning and design of the experience hall about public response to the disaster. His main focus is training and education of community emergency reponse teams and planning of emengency industry parks.
