He has a B.Sc. in Structural Geology, from Department of Geology, Peking University in 1983, and a M. Sc. Structural Geology and Tectonics, from Institute of Geology, the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences (CAGS) in 1986 and a Ph.D. Structural Geology and Tectonics, from Department of Geology, Peking University, in 1989.
He is an expert of China International Search and Rescue Team (CISAR), Disaster Mitigation Group of IAP and Comprehensive Disaster Research Group supervised by Ministry of S & T.
He is a Standing Committee Member, Special Committee for Risk Analysis and Crisis Management under China Association for Disaster Prevention (CADP). He is a Voting Member of Society of Petroleum Geology of China.
He has published numerous papers, near 100 domestic of China and internationally on structural geology, seismic risk assessment, earthquake disaster emergency responses. He has got more than 10 times of honors and awards in domestic of China.
He is married and has one daughter, and enjoys field works in mountain areas and play badminton.
Jaroslav Pejcoch (Czech Republic)
He is the founding member of the AFCEA Czech Chapter and member of the Board of Directors and is member of the Czech National Committee of ISDR, and member of the Presidium of the Czech Association of Crisis Managers.
From 1975 he is teaching at Czech Technical University – Faculty of electronic.
His publication activities are in areas of computer graphics, computer user interfaces, information and communication technologies, information logistic and systems for protection of citizens and environment, interoperability of systems, crisis management, critical infrastructure protection.
He is married, have 4 children and is living in Prague and Telc .His hobbies are music (active piano player), mountaineering and photography.
Ji (Jack) Zhang (China)
Ji (Jack) Zhang is TIEMS Treasurer.
Being the undertaker and consulting member of the Emergency Management System (EMS) research project initated by the Emergency Management Office (EMO) of the State Council of China and the consulting member of Beijing EMS Research Group and the Chief architect for the EMS IT platform of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
He is a senior member of HIMSS, and OASIS EMTC. He is one of the committee members working on the Emergency Management ICT(EMICT) standard for China and believes that the EMICT industry has been promptly emerging in China and the whole world, and find this very challenging.

Snjezana Knezic (Croatia)
Snjezana Knezic is TIEMS Director for Chapters and Membership.
She did undergraduate studies at Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Split in 1982 - 1987, then postgraduate studies, master of philosophy at Faculty of Organisation and Informatics, University of Zagreb in 1988 - 1993 . She did her doctoral thesis at Faculty of Civil Engineering, University Split in 1998.
She is full time professor at Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture at University of Split.
Her research interests are in application of system sciences and information technology, especially decision support systems and geographic information systems in emergency/disaster management and other engineering fields. She has published peer-reviewed papers on emergency/disaster management.
She is a member of ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers), Croatian Society of Civil Engineers, GIS - Forum Croatia and Croatian Mathematical Society
She lives in Split, Croatia with her family.
Jae Kwon Kim (Korea)
Neil Dufty (Australia)
Neil’s specialisations are in community disaster resilience building, early warning systems, social media and emergency management, and community disaster education. He has done consultancy work for numerous clients across Australia and he has been project manager for several major projects including the review of warning systems for the Victorian Floods Review and the review of bushfire warning systems based on the recommendations of the Royal Commission into 2009 Victorian Bushfires (Black Saturday).
Neil has presented at several peak conferences including the Australian Floodplain Management Conference and the Australian & New Zealand Disaster and Emergency Management Conference. He has numerous published articles and several peer reviewed papers on community disaster education and emergency management evaluation, including in the Australian Journal of Emergency Management.
Through his extensive research, Neil is developing a new approach to community disaster education called ‘Learning for Disaster Resilience’. He is on review panels for several leading international emergency management journals as an expert in disaster education and communications, and building community disaster resilience. He is part of an extensive international learning community of emergency managers that use social media and other social networking mechanisms.
